After you have stlyed your twist-and-curl, you can add accessories like flowers, ribbons and beaded or rhinestone embellished barrettes, headbands or hair combs.
Chignon and Buns
One well-known formal hairstyle might be the easiest to achieve. The chignon and other buns are as simple as twisting hair in on itself and pinning in when it reaches its desired round shape. You can even start with a twist-and-curl or a simple twist out so that your coils will stretched enough to achieve this style or just to give your hair a defined curly texture for this style.
- Begin by smoothing out the front of your hair. You can gather the hair more tautly or more loosely depending on the look you want.
- If you have bangs, you can leave them out or pin them back with the rest of your hair. You can also create a small pompadour with your bangs by turning them backwards and pinning the ends of the bangs closer to their roots so they do not lie flat but pucker up at the height of your choice.
