Heading home for the holidays and can’t find a suitcase big enough to cram all the products you need to tame your temperamental tresses?
Your search may be over.
PhytoSpecific says it has the answer to your hair dilemmas – in one bottle.
The upscale hair care company has launched Integral Hair Care, a new multi-purpose styling spray designed to detangle, define and dazzle hair when it’s wet or dry, whether you wear it curly or straightened. PhytoSpecific unveiled the new product during a cocktail reception for the press at Jean-Georges V Steakhouse in the Time Warner Building in Manhattan on Nov. 9.
“It’s a leave-in treatment that is also a styling tool,” says Kathy Jean-Louis, Executive Brand Manager for PhytoSpecific, which is also celebrating its fifth anniversary. “It redefines and restructures curls. You can also use it in between shampoos, to set rollers, or for retouch blow-drying.”
The plant-based product is formulated with the company’s exclusive Wood II complex, which includes philodendron bark, sandalwood, and a barley grain called hordeum.
“These hydrating plants increase the hair’s capacity to retain moisture and increase the elasticity of the hair,” Jean-Louis says. “It will also coat the hair with a barrier to prevent loss of moisture. It’s very good for damaged hair.”
Need a little extra shine? The product also includes essential fatty acids to eliminate dullness. Red algae in the formula is designed to smooth out the frizz that comes with a rainy day. When you’re trying to beat the heat, wheat protein adds protection, while sunflower extracts fight against UV rays and acids from hibiscus flowers close the scales of the hair to strengthen the silky strands.
