It never fails that I walk into a store and my eye immediately gravitates to the neutral tones. No matter how old I get some things never change. Although I’m open to playing with prints you’ll usually see me in a solid color (usually white, black, creme or gray”> styled with minimal accessories. Speaking of accessories, these cute little colorful tassel earrings are the perfect accessory for any basic look.
It was a no brainer that I grabbed this mocha jumpsuit, it had my name written all over it! I love a good jumpsuit. Seriously, I have like 6 in my closet because they’re so easy and comfortable. I’ve spent countless mornings staring at my closet wondering what outfit to wear and jumpsuits solve all my problems because it’s a one & done look that requires minimum effort.
Living in Texas it’s essential to wear light-weight clothing during the Summer because we can have weeks of scorching hot days of 100 degrees or more. That is definitely one of the reasons I love this jumpsuit because of the breathable fabric, plus the romantic side tie, not to mention it has pockets!

Do I love it?” I’ve learned that if you don’t love it in the dressing room, you most likely won’t wear it. So try everything on and ask yourself those same questions when you’re shopping, believe me, it saves you lots of time and money.
Lately, I’ve been obsessed with using the finger coil technique to create defined curls. It’s super quick and easy and is great for any curl girl. Being that it’s extremely hot and humid in Texas majority of the year, it’s essential that I keep my hair moisturized with heavy butters to fight the frizz.
Since I’m growing my hair out, it’s been a great way to blend in my longer curls and keep my short cut looking fresh. I usually wash my hair the night before and coil it while it’s damp, then let it air dry overnight. Once my hair is dry I unravel the coils, then pick my root to add some volume and definition.

Since I prefer to wear neutral tones, it was a must for me to add a pop of color with my accessories. Pom poms are one of Summer’s hottest trends and when I saw these sandals I knew I could wear them with multiple outfits since it has so many colors and I knew it would be a good investment.
One of my fashion rules is buy clothing that is transitional and can be worn on a variety occasions. This look is a great example of taking your look from desk to dinner effortlessly.
